Flat hunt in Curitiba

The good thing with flat hunting is the opportunity you get to see new districts, meet people or just pop in a Dutch orchestra rehearsal in a remote radio house of Curitiba... Amazing!

The flat I visited with Pedro this day was located on rua Júlio Perneta, in Mercês - ah I'll provide you with a map soon... Anyway, the place lays in some higher parts of the city, offering beautiful views over the mounts of the Serra do Mar. A neighbour district - João Gava - disposes of similar, breath-taking perspectives to the wilder landscape around Curitiba, a sneak peak just between the roofes of the houses, over some bushes and trees. Now I do not remember if I mentionned before the lighthouses spread all over the city? Another initiative of urban planning, which is rather social and cultural suppliance than pure planning. Those lighthouses are often located close to schools, They are libraries, with possibility for cultural activities, and represent the knowledge - in memory of the lighthouse and library of ancient Alexandria.

You just look around and there is one. They are all different, all unique. Very funny little urban installations. Here is the one I met on my way to the bus, in João Gava.
